Nothing can be more embarrassing than misspelling a word or five in your message on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and another social networking sites. Here are a few tips on how to avoid this awkward situation and thus avoid the mockery of all your friends and acquaintances.
If you want to be taken seriously as an Internet User, taking advantage of your brain is the first step to success. Use a couple seconds before you start pounding the keyboard to review in your mind what you want to say. Doing so can help you avoid typing “your” when you really mean “you’re”, a mistake which can cause anyone to hang their head in shame.
2) Remember that there is a time and a place to apply bad spelling and grammar.
If you’re going to spell badly on purpose, go overboard so that the other readers know you’re doing so sarcastically.
3. Look for the squiggly red line
If a word is underlined like that, you’ve done something wrong. That’s called Spell-Check, my friend, and most browsers are equipped with it. Simply right-click on the offending word and choose the correct spelling. The word you’re trying to spell is usually at the top of the list.
